How to choose the name of an email
My name is Kim. Im working on marketing team in big company. I have to decide the name of a company email, which I will use by giving people to complain for thair issues with the products of the company. Wich one is better: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com or somethingelse. Thank you.
Wish you all the best,
Hi Kim, this is a great question! In this case, I’d recommend “contact” rather than “support,” since “contact” seems more neutral, and less like you’re expecting there to be issues. However! One thing you could do is set up “support” as an alias, or have it forwarded to “contact” so that anyone who wants to email “firstname.lastname@example.org” can still get through, but the address you give out or list might be “contact.” Hope this helps!
Hi Kim, I think it depends on the company workflow. If someone will directly monitor and reply to support requests using support@ should be in good taste. But if you have lots of support requests I recommend you to use a ticketing system like Zendesk. You can collect requests directly from a form on your website.
