Larned State Hospital has been searching for a new HR Director for two years. They are a State run mental health hospital that has 500 patients, some criminally committed. Would you be able to help us network to find a candidate? Larned is a rural community of about 4,000. The hospital has 900 employees. There is currently a 30% staffing shortage. So lots of overtime. Whomever takes this position would become a rockstar overnight once they turn this around through increased retention rate and hiring new staff. Previous administration had an adversarial relationship to staff. New HR Director could go far with reversing this. Thanks😃August 16, 2018 at 10:24 pm #234613
Thanks for posting on our site. We don’t do recruiting/consulting, but I can provide some helpful articles on best practices. If it were me, I would hire an executive search firm to fill the position for you. It sounds like it’s worth paying 30% of the position’s first year salary to get it filled.
Recruiters tend to be localized and specialized, so search “HR Recruitment firm” or “HR Executive Recruiter” or even “HR Headhunter” for your location, and see if you can find someone to work on filling the position for you.
