I am rersearching for software to manage compliance and documents on constructio

I run a consulting engineering company and provide compliance with building regulations inspections on residential projects. PM software is too big for my more specialised use. managing documents, issuing reports, tracking defects and reporting on progress on a weekly or monthly basis

Martin, I can only address the compliance portion of your question. I have fairly recently discovered iAuditor, from SafetyCulture. I use it for RV and motorhome inspections and I have found it to be easily modifiable, to fit a variety of tasks. You can use it to create action items that someone else on the team needs to follow up on. For compliance, you can flag certain answers to questions as a “Fail”. I don’t know how it would help you in document management. But I think it might be what you are looking for. JMHO.
