Sometimes neighbors attend open houses in the neighborhood to be nosy and see what someone else’s house looks like, or to see what your house is priced at, how many people show up and how it compares to their house in case they want to sell their place. However, neighbors can also be a great source for leads, especially if they love living in the neighborhood. They may recommend the neighborhood to their friends, family, and colleagues and they may want to purchase your house. If you’re not sure why they attended the open house, I would follow up with them by calling or stopping by their home and talking about it more in detail. You can thank them for coming and ask them if they have anyone who may want to move to the neighborhood and then highlight some of the features in your house. I would also recommend leaving some flyers with them about your home and tell them in advance when your next open house will be.
