I recently was asked this question by a reader. Here’s my response:
While you can’t only advertise to ages 50+ with TV advertising, you can advertise during programs with demographics in that age range. Speak with your local cable provider or local TV station to see which channels and specific programs are watched by people ages 50 and up. They should have data around which ages watch which programs.
