LLC Tax Fillings
I just registered my business in NJ, however I am afraid I may have registered inappropriately for my LLC.
I registered as a LLC (1120 Filer). I am a single owner of a physical therapy office, who will have another part time job (W-4). With my LLC, I may hire 1 person in the next year. Did I file appropriately? I am worried I should have filed Single Member LLC.
Any assistance or direction would be appreciated.
If you are the only member of the LLC then yes you should file as a single-member LLC which means that you can file Schedule C with your 1040 or if you have filed paperwork to file as a Corporation then you can file Form 1120. If you only listed yourself on the paperwork then you will most likely receive a letter indicating you are a single-member LLC. I would contact the office where you mailed the documents to see what they recommend you do.
