I am currently studying for the Illinois real estate exam to become licensed in Illinois. I will be relocating to Virginia next year and want to know if I will need to take the entire real estate license exam or just certain portions of it. If I have to take the entire Virginia exam can I study and take the exam before I actually move there?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Hi Yvette –
It does not appear that Illinois has reciprocity with Virginia, which means that you will likely have to take the Virginia state specific exam. To be sure, I would contact the Virginia State Real Estate Commission, to get the specifics. The real estate licensing department of the Virginia State Real Estate Commission, can be contacted by phone at:(804) 367-8526.
