My experian score is 605 and income is good. I did not prequalify?
My income is good. Credit score ore is 605 for experian and 632 for equifax. I’m on the deed to the house I share but am looking to buy my 85 year old mother out. Want to consolidate my debt, do some home improvements. Then refinance and give her some cash out as the buy out. Did I get denied solely due to credit score?
I take it you applied for a personal loan with your bank and got denied? If so, it seems like credit score may have dinged you. Banks generally prefer to work with applicants who have credit scores over 680. However, it could also be something else, like how much other debt you already have.
To improve your credit score, I suggest visiting Nav. They have some good tips on building credit.
