My wife and I have two businesses in same office. She sells window treatments and I have the installation business. Can we use the same online quickbooks to run both or do we need to pay the $35 per month for each of them. Please let me know your thoughts or if there is another option.

First of all, congrats to both you and your wife for having not one but two businesses! Ideally, you should set up a separate QBO account for each business that you have. The only situation where I would recommend that you can use one account is if the businesses are similar, you can get away with tracking income and expenses in one QBO account and you could use a feature called class tracking to separate the transactions for each business.
If your business is pretty simple, you can probably get away with purchasing the Simple Start plan. That plan runs about $20 per month and you can qualify for up to a 50% discount as a Fit Small Business reader Just click on any of the QuickBooks links in the article below to sign up.
