Hello i am not understanding, i just signed up from desktop to intuit online and when i go to the register i see all my 2016 in there but when i hit the whats in QB none of my 2016 is in there? only very few items for 2017, your videos are helpful, however i do not see anything about this, but my question is what do i need to do to close my 2016 well reconcile them but i also need to make sure there is no duplicates before reconciling. when i called to speak to someone she told me to put a date to close it and didn’t take time to listen to me, nor explain what closing does! hope you can assist!

Based on the info that you shared, I’m assuming that you are trying to make sure that all of your data from QB desktop transferred over to QBO. Going with that assumption, here are a couple of things that you can do:
1. Run a Balance Sheet report using the accrual basis in both the desktop and the QBO files for the time period you converted. Compare them to see if they match.
2. Run a Profit & Loss report using the accrual basis in both the desktop and the QBO file for the time period you converted. Compare them to see if they match.
If both reports match, you’re in good shape. However, if they don’t match then you need to figure out where the issue is. QBO Tech support is free for you to use, I suggest that you contact them again in hopes of getting a better customer service rep. I’ve had a lot of success with contacting them via chat. While it might seem a bit cumbersome, those reps tend to be more helpful than the telephone reps.
