If you create a sales receipt and an invoice, how does that affect your income balance?? Does it record it twice?? Thank you!
Hi Yolanda, good question. When you create an invoice and a sales receipt yes your income is doubled. In general, I recommend that you create an invoice when you do not expect to receive payment right away. Otherwise, if you receive payment immediately from your customers then create a sales receipt. Both documents work the same as far as debits and credits behind the scenes which is the most important thing.
