Selling a commercial building in Maryland
If I sell a commercial Building in the State of Maryland do the new owners have to honor any existing lease of any tenants?
Thank you for your question. Generally, yes the new owners would have to honor an existing lease, however, it should be specifically mentioned in your lease. If your lease doesn’t mention it or if you still have questions, I would recommend consulting with a real estate attorney in Maryland.
