This question was submitted in response to How To Set Up QuickBooks Online – Step by Step Instructions…
This is a good question. If the products that you sell are custom ordered and no two products are alike, you can still set the products up in QuickBooks so that you can keep track of what products were sold to who. If you don’t know what the cost of the product will be upfront you can also set up products with no cost and not sales price. When you get ready to invoice your customer, you can go in and set up the price at that point or just manually type it into the invoice when you create it.
Hope this helps. Thanks for watching our QuickBooks video tutorials!
