This topic contains 1 reply, has 2 voices, and was last updated by Krista Fabregas 1 year ago.
Hello!
I’m a photographer with a small business. I am considering using ShootProof Payments as my payment gateway, as opposed to PayPal Pro. My huge concern is that I don’t want to be liable for credit card information touching my servers, which is why I want a hosted payment gateway. I was trying to read and understand all the legal agreements, but want to know your opinion, if this is a secure platform, and if I will be protected similarly to Square or PayPal. (This particular service integrates very easily with my website and is designed for photographers, which is why I’m considering it over other services).
Thanks for your help!
Hi Devin,
ShootProof looks like a fully hosted solution like Square (now, I can’t guarantee that, but that’s how they present themselves). They also integrate with PayPal, Braintree and Authorize.net for a self-hosted solution. But their basic cart appears to be fully hosted so you never receive the credit card information on your own servers.
I hope this helps, good luck!
Cheers,
Krista
