Which shopping cart plug-in for WordPress would you recommend for our group?
Thank you for your on-line articles on e-commerce. They are very helpful and an excellent source of information. I am a webmaster for a non-profit, community group. The group would like to renew yearly memberships on-line and sell tickets on-line (no specific seating) for occasional local events. Which shopping cart plug-in for WordPress would you recommend for our group?
Cart66 is going to be the easiest solution for this. It does have a $29.99 monthly fee to support subscriptions renewals but they have great support and a very secure system. You can do it with WooCommerce, too, but you need to buy an additional plugin for subscriptions and you have very little support and a huge learning curve. You can also do it using PayPal recurring payments with a number of cart plugins, but for recurring billing that, you’ll also have a $20 monthly fee and a learning curve to set up.
All things considered, I think Cart66 is a great deal that takes little effort to set up and manage. Plus it works with virtually any WordPress theme, also handles donations, ticket sales, and any other sales or funds collections you can dream up.
