My name is Sam Reed. I know I can hand over a tax lien certificate to a lawyer to foreclose on. I want to know if you have a template letter that I can send to the delinquent tax owner myself for free informing them that I am in possession of their delinquent tax certificate and that I will foreclose on them if they don’t pay the county in full.
If they then still don’t pay within a month, then I will pay a lawyer to do the rest.
All the tax lien investing books I have read forget to mention how to do this.
Thanks for visiting the site and commenting on the forum. Here’s an article on investing in tax liens and tax deeds I think you will find helpful. You seem to be on the correct path, and working with a real estate attorney is recommended. In regards to a template to send to the delinquent tax owner, we don’t have one of them. However, we will do some research and may consider it for a future article idea. Be sure to check back on the site for fresh real estate investing content.
All the best,
