Two or More Tax Liens on a Property
Which tax lien is superior when there are multiple tax liens owned by different investors on a single property?
Thanks so much for visiting our site and taking the time to post on the forum. Here’s an article on investing in tax liens that I think you will find helpful. https://fitsmallbusiness.com/tax-lien-and-tax-deed-investing/
Great question. Certain liens on real estate do take precedence over others. For specific questions on tax liens including which lien is superior, I would recommend speaking to someone in the office who deals with property taxes and tax lien sales. The office varies among municipalities but can usually be found with the other city offices such as recorder of deeds, taxes and water revenue etc. If you still can’t get an answer to your question, I would contact a local real estate attorney.
All the best,
