I need to unreconcile a previously reconciled credit card account. I know there was a link to do this in the desktop version. How do I go about this in the online version. Reason: had a cc account where the card number was changed (enrolled in new program) and existing balance was transferred to the new card number. We are using feeds from credit card company and were unable to transfer all the charges to the new card from the old card. I had reconciled the old account using the new statement that had both sets of charges on it (both old and new card no). Need to remove the reconciled info from the old account and delete the charges and reenter them on the new card.January 5, 2018 at 6:44 pm #145939

This is a great question. Unfortunately the “undo reconciliation” feature that exists in QuickBooks Desktop is only available in the accountant’s version of QuickBooks Online, known as QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA). With that said, you will have to give an accountant who has a QBOA account access to your QBO file so that they can “undo” the reconciliation for you. There is no other way for you to access this feature in the regular versions of QuickBooks Online.
