I am being instructed to ship an item that was sold on Amazon 6 months ago so is no longer be available.
How do I reach them to explain their error?
You can cancel the order, note the reason, email the buyer with the situation and place the blame on Amazon if it’s their error. Then email Amazon support with the details (order number, order date, date of your receipt of the order in your dashboard, and the stock issue). You can email them through your Seller Central dashboard. Also, be sure that you’ve deleted the item from your inventory list to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Hope this helps, good luck!
