What’s the best way to bring in money via blog/website?
I am currently studying the fundamentals of digital marketing via google and was given a task by my first client who is a doctor to make her money online via blog and website. As well as she would like to sell the book she published online.
A doctor would be kind of tricky. The easiest way for a beginning blog would be subscribing to adsense (application can take months to be approved), and find some related affiliate deals to her work. Problem with affiliate marketing could be location. You have to find business with affiliate deals in the country her audience is at.
But first you have to build traffic to her website to a decent amount to be considered eligible for any type of advert deal. Also build up the social media following and the blog should have lots of quality content.
I would say you should focus on promoting the book right now while working on the blog and social media growth.
Have you considered helping her set up a sales funnel? The book could be her lead magnet — free but they pay shipping and handling. From there, her trip wire could be a low cost mini course (less than $100).
Of course, none of that matters without traffic. You could run paid ads, but organic reach is king. Does she have an email list yet? If so, what size?
I agree with what David said. You should have an Adsense account and lend small space of your website to google to show ads on your website. It’s easy to implement and Google provides step by step guidance in implementing the same.
