When I pay use tax in Texas
My question is do I pay use tax into the comptroller’s office on items purchased or invoiced date, or do I go according to the date I paid the invoice.
For instance, if I buy an item from a seller in June and it has an invoice date of June, do I send the use tax in according to that date?
Or do I pay the use tax on those items that were purchased and I didn’t pay tax on. Do I go according to the date of the invoice, or the date that I pay for the invoice. Like the invoice is dated in June, but I don’t pay my use tax in until July. Do I pay on this in June or July? I am new to this and would like to know if I am sending my tax in on a timely scale.
