Would a music library for a Dj company be worth anything?
Would my Dj music library be worth anything?? What would be the value of the music? I bought all my music legally through promo only and I tunes. Should I insure my music library??
I’m happy to help! A good way to determine if you need to insure your music library would be to ask yourself a few questions: How much would it cost for me to replace my music library? How long would it take to replace it? Will I lose business income (i.e. lost opportunities to play gigs or do shows) for several days? The type of insurance you would need to cover you music is commercial property insurance. Most providers that insure DJs charge an average of $150 for up to $15,000 in property. This premium is usually the minimum. Therefore, if your music (and other property related to your DJ business) is worth insuring for $150 per year, you may want to consider getting DJ Insurance.
