Brenda Darcyand I am confused about the accounting portion. Will I need to get Quickbooks or a similar accounting software and Square?? I am concerned about paying for both services. I do not have the money for a book keeper and am looking for options.
Hi Brenda, I can definitely understand being on a tight budget; most small business owners are. With that said, there is a free accounting software called Wave that you should check out. It offers most of the features that QuickBooks and Xero offer but at no cost. I spent sometime using this software as research for our Best Accounting Software guide, you can check out all of the features and benefits here:https://fitsmallbusiness.com/best-small-business-accounting-software/
I believe that Square is probably going to be your best bet when it comes to credit card processing. You can find out more info in our Square Fees & Pricing guide here: https://fitsmallbusiness.com/square-fees-pricing-guide/
I hope this info is helpful and thanks for reading!
