Another great feature is the interactive map, which allows you to track important data in real time, including transit time and the ETA to the next stop. You will also see the different legs of the journey, which indicate various stages of the transportation process. This detailed information allows you to track the progress of each order efficiently.
From the order screen, you can create a new order and duplicate or delete an existing one if needed. There’s also a Create Invoice button which allows you to generate an invoice easily based on the load information entered into the system.
The dispatch management dashboard shows a list of unassigned loads—or orders or shipments that have not been assigned to specific drivers. This helps dispatchers quickly identify pending assignments and assign them accordingly.
Toro TMS comes with a calendar view, allowing you to see the availability of your drivers quickly. You can search and filter for a specific driver to view their scheduled trips, and the system will display only the trips associated with that particular driver.
Once you identify an available driver, you can proceed to assign the load by clicking on the unassigned load entry. This will open up the load entry screen, where you can assign the load to the available driver.
Toro TMS pulls in all the necessary information from the load automatically and generates a draft invoice. This includes key information, such as customer information, reference number, commodity description, charges, and any documents added to the load.
The system also creates an invoice packet that includes all the documents added to the load. You can also add new documents as needed. You can then generate a PDF version of the invoice packet and easily download it or email it to the appropriate customer or factoring company.
In the Invoices tab, you’ll see the list of all invoices created within Toro TMS. You can expand the invoice to reveal the actual invoice, along with other relevant information, such as the status. From here, you can download the invoice and email it to your customer. If needed, you can edit the invoice to make changes, such as entering additional loads, adding charges, and attaching files like bill of lading and load confirmation.
On the downside, Toro TMS doesn’t allow you to create invoices from scratch. While most trucking companies typically have to enter the load information first, there are some instances where manual invoice creation is needed.
