10Web: Most AI Features Overall & Best for SEO & WordPress
If there’s an artificial intelligence tool lacking in 10Web, we can’t find it. For example, not only does it have the essentials you’d expect in an AI website builder (like a site generator and writing assistant), but it also has artificial intelligence for creating images or even replicating the design of any website URL. So if you’ve fallen in love with someone else’s website, 10Web can generate the page’s overall design, and you can customize it to make it your own.
Since 10Web is an AI-powered website builder for WordPress, it also comes with the perks offered by WordPress, like advanced search engine optimization (SEO). 10Web supports this further with a number of AI technologies and enhancements for site loading and page speed.
It also has on-page optimization for images, keywords, and AI-generated content. For example, those using Yoast SEO to analyze content can then use AI to round out the intro and outro paragraphs (and everything in between).
And 10Web’s artificial intelligence website builder doesn’t stop once your site is published. You can use AI to make your website and then create a website marketing strategy tailored to your brand and business.
10Web pricing starts at $10 per month if you pay annually, or $20 month to month. There’s no free plan, but you can test it out for free before committing to a paid plan. If you’re evaluating which AI website builder to use, put this platform on your shortlist and test it out today.
Wix: Best AI Website Generator for Custom Design & Blogging
They say timing is everything, right? Just as this article was being written, Wix announced enhancements to the platform’s artificial design intelligence (ADI) features and capabilities. Chief among these is the release of its new text-to-website generator that will create your whole website based on the descriptive text you enter.
If you’re not fully satisfied with the first offering, you can use artificial intelligence to customize the look of your design in several ways, from custom colors to shapes. Nor does Wix’s AI stop there.
Wix has AI assistants to generate copy, create and edit images, and even make a trailer for your video. These are great features for businesses that depend on blogging to drive web traffic and leads. In addition to the already-great premade sections and content blocks, you can now also use Wix ADI to quickly add pages to your site and add sections to pages.
For ecommerce sites, Wix’s AI extends to writing and optimizing product descriptions and product marketing based on site visitor behavior. And any type of business can leverage the AI Assistant to get recommendations for marketing and improving their company.

Only WordPress (and 10Web) offers more by way of capabilities than Wix. Plus, you can test out the majority of the site’s artificial intelligence features with the free version, making it completely risk-free to try.
Hostinger: Best AI Website Builder for Beginners
Hostinger offers a simple and intuitive AI site builder that offers the best user experience for beginners. Built-in prompts walk you through the process of using artificial intelligence to create a website. Though you are limited with the AI site creator to a dozen or so preset industries, in the end, we didn’t find that it limited our ability to create a website for any type of business.
Once created, it’s also one of the easiest to use to generate content, as the AI content writing assistant appears any time you add a section or start to write a blog post. A little less intuitive to use (and you’ll have to wait until your site starts getting traffic), there’s a native heatmap that offers predictive analytics and guidance based on site visitor behavior with your content.

- See what sets Hostinger apart from other cheap website builders
Hostinger was the first website builder that we know of to include an AI content writer (which it acquired as part of its purchase of the Zyro website builder). And it’s one of the few to have native tools for predictive analytics with a built-in heatmap.
If we are going to nitpick, we wish there were better tools for SEO. Hostinger does offer an SEO marketing add-on, but this represents an $8.99 per month add-on, essentially doubling your cost to use the Hostinger website builder after the first year. Plus, there’s no free trial.
However, at under $40 for the first year, there’s little risk to signing up for a Hostinger website builder plan to test the platform. As the easiest AI website builder for beginners, you can’t lose.
HubSpot CMS: Best Integrated AI Marketing & Sales Tools
HubSpot is the industry leader in “inbound marketing,” which are marketing tactics that turn websites into lead magnets, like SEO and content marketing. Small wonder then that HubSpot CMS website builder has a ton of AI-powered sales and marketing tools you can use to build a small business website and scale it to the next level.
Notably, HubSpot has just made its AI content creation tools available to the public. In any text box, simply enter a backslash (/) and the AI writer will invite your prompts and then generate content for titles, paragraphs, and more.

Other AI-tools for building websites are located within HubSpot’s ChatSpot.ai section, though ChatSpot does have the AI writing tool as well. Here you can research competitors, keywords, and ad strategies, and even conduct prospecting based on business customers’ location, technology, company size, and more.
ChatSpot.ai can automatically add contacts to your HubSpot CRM or customer service module, draft and send personalized emails using AI, and generate custom reports for any “Hub.” But no website builder is perfect. While HubSpot has a ton of tools, it’s not the most intuitive platform to learn to use, even for just creating your site.
Plus, there’s no AI site generator, so you’ll have to start with a template (and there are only about 100 free templates, and some are quite basic). Still, the AI tools for sales and marketing are impressive enough that HubSpot CMS is well worth considering, and you can try it out for free.
Durable: Best Built-in AI Advertising Tools
Like Hostinger, Durable has easy-to-use artificial intelligence tools for creating a website, editing its design, and adding content to it. But it also has tools for generating Google Ads headlines, subheadings, and search results campaigns. It has AI-generative options for creating Facebook and Twitter posts and marketing emails.
In addition, there’s an AI Assistant that said it was able to help with nearly any type of administrative task. We were skeptical.
So we asked it to do things like create a marketing strategy, build a marketing calendar, and outline a marketing budget. And to our surprise, it did a passable job of generating content we could easily customize (and thus significantly reduce the time needed to create them).
Durable has some shortcomings, however. For example, it has a free image library but not an AI image creator (unlike 10Web and Wix). The site design generated by AI on Durable was also repetitive, regardless of which type of business we asked it to make a template for. And while you can customize that manually, you can’t input prompts to generate content for your site per se; instead, you can hit “regenerate” and get a new option.
It also lacks ecommerce features, which could be a deal-breaker for your business. But it does have invoicing capabilities, which means it’s a good option for businesses that invoice customers, like agencies. Get started today with a long 90-day free trial to check out the platform.
Duda: Great AI Website Builder for Local SEO & Mobile UX
Duda has some standout features that make it a strong contender for nearly any type of non-commerce small business website. For one, it started as a user-friendly mobile website builder, and all Duda sites are automatically device responsive for a good user experience (UX) on any size screen.
Another feature that stands out with Duda is its schema markup fields. You can enter business details about your location, and Duda’s AI website builder will automatically apply schema markup that will boost your website’s local SEO. It also has a native AI content writer to save you time writing page titles, descriptions, and content.
In addition to generating content, you can customize it with AI prompts to make texts shorter or longer, translate it into other languages, improve the writing, change the tone of voice, and automatically fix grammar and spelling mistakes. Duda also recently introduced smart sections (called Flex sections), which allow for a lot of design freedom and drag-and-drop editing within fully mobile-responsive templates.
Ecommerce businesses may not love Duda as building an online store with AI requires an add-on. Plus, some of the ecommerce plans aren’t available yet, and even in some plans, features are still under development. For a more straightforward AI ecommerce website builder, use the Square editor in Weebly or get robust features for various business types with Wix.
Duda is highly rated by customers, offers super-reliable hosting on Amazon Website Services (AWS) servers, and has dozens of widgets that make building a site for a local business fast and easy. Test the Duda platform with its 14-day free trial to see if it’s got the tools your website needs.
Weebly: Cheapest AI Website Builder for Ecommerce
Weebly is a well-known name in ecommerce, as Weebly sites are powered by online payment processor (and parent company) Square. From the Weebly home page, you can start a website in one of two ways: use the Weebly editor for personal sites and start with a premade template or choose the Square editor for Business websites and let AI make your site for you.
To see this process in action, you can check out our video tutorial and a step-by-step guide on setting up a Weebly ecommerce store. This is, unfortunately, the extent of Weebly’s artificial intelligence tools at the moment (though we hope more will be developed in the future).
Despite this limitation, Weebly allows you to build a fully functional ecommerce store or restaurant website starting for free, earning it a spot among the best AI website builders. Nor are its ecommerce features sparse. Read our Weebly review to learn more.
The free version allows unlimited products and has tools other site builders lock behind costly plans, like automatic tax calculation. Higher-tier plans allow for the sale of digital products, like appointments and subscriptions. Check out the free version to see if it has the features you need to build your online store or restaurant website by visiting Weebly and using the Square editor for Business websites to build your site with artificial intelligence.
How We Evaluated the Best AI Website Builders
We researched and scored AI website builders against a variety of data points, including specific artificial intelligence features that needed to be considered. Among these were tools for making an AI-generated website or at least customizing its content with smart tools and an AI content writing assistant. Click on the tabs to learn more about our testing and methodology.
30% of Overall Score
Here’s where platforms first had to earn their way onto our list of the best AI website builders. We looked for artificial intelligence website builders that create templates, generate copy and images, optimize for site visitor experience and online search, and more.
20% of Overall Score
Cost is a driving factor for most small businesses. We considered not only pricing but the availability of a free trial or plan, the ability to budget the cost monthly, savings with longer-term contracts, and whether cost increases for ecommerce or after the first year.
20% of Overall Score
To be a practical consideration, an app must provide adequate storage and bandwidth. We also rated the SEO capabilities of each platform to ensure your site can get found in online search. Beyond this, we looked for commonly requested features like appointment booking, ecommerce, and blogging, and whether ready-made plugins were available to extend functionality.
10% of Overall Score
Even the most robust, cost-effective app is rendered useless if a problem arises that you can’t solve yourself. For support, we considered the availability and types of live customer support provided as well as the existence and quality of online help centers and tutorials.
20% of Overall Score
We tested each platform to not only confirm the AI capabilities but get a feel for ease of use, value (cost for the money), and the number of features it had compared to other options. Lastly, we answered the question “Would you personally use or recommend?” and only if the answer to that question was “yes” was a provider moved forward.
How to Choose an AI Site Builder (Key Considerations)
For a basic website, having the ability to create a template and add the features you need might be enough. However, for most businesses, the extent to which you can save time and improve results with artificial intelligence tools could be significant. Here are some questions to answer to help you decide which AI site builder to choose.
- Do you have design expertise? If not, an AI-generated website will not only save you time, but help you avoid mistakes and ensure your website looks professionally designed.
- How much content does your site need? AI content writers with built-in page-building and section editing tools are invaluable for creating helpful, well-rounded, and search-friendly content. If you know you need an AI generative writing assistant, test the platforms above to see which AI writer produces the type, tone, and quality of content you’re looking for.
- How important is it to know where to place engagement elements? Putting your call-to-action button or web form in the best place on the page can dramatically improve click-through rates and increase leads and sales. AI tools like heatmaps offer predictive analytics so you can optimize the design of web and landing pages more easily and effectively.
- Is AI guiding the site-building process? Apps like HubSpot and Wix have built-in “wizards” that automatically assess your site and serve up recommendations for improvements. Wix and 10Web also have SEO automations like content delivery networks (CDNs) and automatic image optimization. This makes it easier to build a high-quality site and ensure it’s optimized for search.
- Can the platform scale with your business? An AI website builder with limited capabilities may not have the features your website will need in the future. In addition to features added in higher-tier plans, research whether the platform is actively adding to the feature set regularly.
- Can you afford it? Even if a site builder has plans that scale, that doesn’t mean your business can automatically afford the upgrades. As part of your consideration, calculate the results your website will need to produce to generate the revenue needed to support subscribing to higher-tier plans.
All the AI site builders here are relatively easy to use, even for beginners. But most still have a learning curve. So you’ll either need to take some time with tutorials and playing around with the app to get the website design you want, or you might want to shorten the process by visiting Fiverr and hiring a freelance web designer with experience on your chosen platform.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Any website builder that uses artificial intelligence to build a website from scratch can be considered an AI tool. Based on our research, the best AI tool for making a website on WordPress is 10Web, while the best AI tool for building a blog site is Wix.
Wix is the best free AI website builder overall, but Weebly is the best free website builder for ecommerce. Both offer forever-free plans, and while your site will be hosted on a Wix or Weebly subdomain (which isn’t brand-credible), it offers a completely free way to test a new business idea and start building online brand presence.
Several website builders have free AI tools and plugins, but some of these require paid plans. We recommend that you use Wix ADI (artificial design intelligence) to create a website for free, and then upgrade to a paid plan to host your site on a custom domain, increase storage, and gain access to additional features and functionality, such as ecommerce.
Bottom Line
The best AI website builders make light work of building even complex business websites (and for that alone, we love them). Our top pick overall is 10Web, but this does still entail building a site on WordPress, which means you’ll still have a bit of a learning curve, especially if you need niche features. Our top non-WordPress recommendation is Wix. It has everything you need, including AI tools, all bundled into a no-code site builder you can start using for free.
