When To Get the Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card
Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Business is designed for business owners who are frequent Southwest Airlines flyers and prefer a co-branded Southwest credit card with a low annual fee. You can earn rewards for purchases made directly with Southwest Airlines that can be redeemed for free flights. It’s also an excellent option if you check in a bag, as it offers free check-in for your first and second bags.
It offers 3x points on Southwest Airlines® purchases, 2x on local transit, Rapid Rewards hotel, car rental partner purchases (including rideshare services), and 1x on all other purchases. It’s a good option if you don’t need exclusive travel perks like in-flight Wi-Fi credits, Global Entry or TSA PreCheck® fee credit, and upgraded boardings.
While the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card charges a low annual fee, it doesn’t offer a zero annual fee period—you need to pay the annual fee of $99 immediately. Also, unlike the Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Performance Business, it doesn’t offer premium Southwest Airlines travel perks like upgraded boardings, inflight Wi-Fi credits, and Global Entry or TSA PreCheck® fee credit. Finally, it doesn’t provide an interest-free financing period.
If you want these features, consider applying for a Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card. If you fly with different airlines, you may benefit more from Chase Ink Business Preferred®.

The Chase Ultimate Rewards® is a point-system rewards program exclusive to Chase-branded credit cards. Your rewards are tracked as points if your credit card earns cash back. Each $1 cash back is equal to 100 points, and points don’t expire as long as your account remains open.
However, you’ll lose all your points if your account status changes or your account is closed for program misuse, fraudulent activities, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or other reasons stated in the terms of the Rewards Program Agreement.
All your Chase credit cards, including personal and business credit cards, will be registered under the same Chase Ultimate Rewards® account. This allows you to transfer or combine points from one Chase card to another to redeem your rewards for booking travel, getting cash back, or transferring them to a partner airline or hotel loyalty program. Combining points from multiple cards lets you maximize your redemption potential.
If you choose to transfer your points to any of Chase’s hotel and airline partners, you can enjoy a full 1:1 value for select cards. This means that 1x Ultimate Rewards point is equivalent to 1x point when transferred to your selected travel partner program.
Chase Ultimate Rewards® travel partner programs include:
- Aer Lingus AerClub
- Air Canada Aeroplan
- Air France-KLM Flying Blue
- British Airways Executive Club
- Emirates Skywards
